I decided to be a middle school teacher after college. There are many reasons contribute to this decision.

Firstly, when I was a little boy, I have been dreaming of being a teacher. It seemed so fascinate to me and I hope I can make my dream come true.

Besides, I like so much to be with middle school students. Most of the students at that age are full of youthful spirity and I am sure their passion would pass to me. I will retain all the zest of adolescence.

The most important reason is that our country needs plenty of teachers. So far, teaching is considered a tough and low-income in China. However, if we have not enough teachers, our future will lack of excellent scientist, managers, businessmen, soldiers and even goood workers and farmers. How can our country to be strong and wealthy?

I wish my country to be a better one. I am ready to be a teacher and hope all the persons with lofty ideals may dedicate themselves to this meaningful career.

我决定在大学毕业后成为一位中学教师。有许多原因促成了这一决定。

首先，当我还是一个小男孩的时候，我一直梦想成为一名教师。它让我着迷，我希望我可以让我的梦想成真。

此外，我很喜欢和中学生在一起。在这个年龄的大多数学生都充满了青春的朝气，我相信他们的热情会传递给我。我将保留所有青春的热情。

我叫杨轶，今年11岁了，是一名瘦瘦而又聪明的小男生。今天，我竞选的班干部，既不是生活委员，也不是学习委员，更不是班长。而是英语课代表。感谢老师和同学们给我这次机会。

拿破仑曾经说过这样一句话：不想当将军的士兵不是好士兵。理所当然，不想当干部的学生不是好学生。这次我竞选英语课代表的主要目的是：第一是为了锻炼我的勇气和自信；第二是为了展现我的才能；第三是为了认识我的不足。从一开始接触英语，就喜欢上了，并且一直英语成绩很好。

我们都知道英语课代表要当好老师的小助手，还要英语成绩非常好，当然其他科目也要好。还要有一定的号召力，不能一打上课铃，同学们都在说话，你喊他们没效果，那可不行。所以当好一个课代表要有一定的号召力哦。每次上课的时候都要带着同学们一起读书，还要老师和同学们的支持，并且要助人为乐，品德要好。这是我认为作为一名英语课代表根本。

如果我当上英语课代表，我会全心全意为大家服务。如果有不懂的可以问我哦。我会更加努力学习，开拓视野，增大我的'知识面，我也会在我能力范围内，帮助老师干些力所能及的事情。最主要的是帮助那些英语成绩不太好的同学，使他们增加自信心，把自己好的学习经验分享给他们，帮助他们提高英语成绩。

假如我落选了，我也不会气馁。因为那说明我还有许多缺点和不足，我将继续努力，完善自我。俗话说的好：失败乃成功之母。我还会继续努力，一定及时找出自身的不足并及时改正，争取下次再能竞选上。

Time is like a sharp knife.

It can carve hard lines on beautiful faces and wear out youth year after year, but using it well can make a piece of simple stone into a great statue. St. Mary Academy is still a simple piece of white stone briefly carved, but as time marches on, it may be spoiled by dust, worn out by weather, or broken into separate pieces. It may be also carefully carved by knife into wonderful statues. Everyone at school, including our schoolmates, controls this knife.

If I have a chance to live to be an old woman, I shall, in my peaceful dreams, seek the old paths leading through the trees which I used to travel down in my earlier days. The old bell tower, standing in the golden sunlight, makes a slow, solemn1 sound as girls pour into the church like a stream. There they will kneel, pray and whisper to their spiritual Lord about the little things in their lives. They will ask him to help them in reaching their future goals and I can hear the old church tower whisper in return, “Yes, St. Mary certainly possesses the most hard-working girls that shall glorify2 her with their bright futures!”

What I feel when I hear these words depends on whether I have done anything meaningful over the years. If I have been successful, I will smile with pride and contentment, for I have taken a part, though a very small part, in carving out, with the knife of time, this wonderful model of school life.

I have got quite different experience from other girls.While they were playing toys at home，while they were dreaming to be the princesses in the story .

I was running in the hard rain，jumping in the heavy snow，pitching in the strong wind.Nothing could stop me，because of a wonderful call from my heart -- to be an athlete.Yeah，of course，I'm an athlete，I'm so proud of that all the time . When I was 10 years old，I became a shot-put athlete.The training was really hard，I couldn't bear the heavy shot in my hands .But I always believe that "god only help those who help themselves".During those hard days，I find I was growing more quickly than others of the same age.To be an athlete is my most correct choice.But，I quit my team after entering high school because of a silly excuse.I really didn't want to stop my sports career anyway. Today I say to you my friends that even though I must face the difficulties of yesterday，today and tomorrow .I still have a dream .It is a dream deeply rooted in my soul. I have a dream that one day，I can run，jump and pitch just like I used to be. I have a dream that one day，I can go back to my dream sports and join the national team.

I have a dream that one day，I can stand on the highest place at the olympic games.With all the cameras pointing at me.I will tell everyone that I'm so proud to be a Chinese athlete! Please think a minute! I heard a funny true story about this guy who goes to the gym to exercise and work out each week. He takes 20 minutes to change his clothes. Then he walks around the gym talking with different people.

After that, he reads the newspaper. Finally, he does a few stretches and 5 minutes of exercises. Then he takes a hot steam bath before going home. So in the whole 2 hours he’s at the gym, he only spends 5 minutes exercising! One day, someone heard this man saying:“I don’t understand it. I go the the gym almost everyday, but I never seem to lose weight.” But every body at the gym knows why, because they see this guy there doing everything except the main thing exercise!

You see, it’s important that we keep the main thing. And if you want to be successful. In your job, business, or managing your family, or your studies, whatever we do, we must get the main thing done. Instead of wasting our time and energy doing things that aren’t important. Because it is easy to get side-tracked doing other things that might be easier or more fun to do.
