My name is Lihua. There are 4 people in my family. My father is a Chemistryteacher. He teaches chemistry in senior high school. My mother is an English teacher. She teaches English in the university. I have a younger brother, he is a junior high school student and is preparing for the entrance exam.
I like to read English story books in my free time. Sometimes I surf the Internet and download the books to read. Reading books is fun. In addition, it also enlarges my vocabulary words because of the advanced technology and the vivid animations.
I hope to study both English and computer technology because I am interested in both of the subjects. Maybe one day I could combine both of them and apply to my research in the future.

From a middle class family, I was born in Hsin Ying, Tainan on October 10th, 1965. My father is a civil official at Tainan City Government. My mother is a house wife good at cooking. Although I am the only child of my parents, I am by no mans a spoiled one. On the contrary, I have been expected to be a successful man with advanced education. I study hard at school. Besides texts knowledge, journalism is my favorite; whenever reading, my heart is filled with great joy and interesting.
“Being good is must; successful, however, is plus.” Father adopts the idea of his father. Especially in military service, I realized it more precisely. People said: Military service makes a boy to man, I agree that.
I realized the importance of English and began to study diligently when I was eighteen. I did not start in my early age, but I hope that I could pass the test of General English Proficiency Test. And this is my best wish at the moment.

I am open-minded, willing and have broad interests like basketball, readin g and especially in engineering such as software programming, website design, hardware design. For example, during the past four years, I have accomplished two websites: one is the website of our school, and the other is the website o f the doctor forum of china 2007. Furthermore, I am interested in C plus plus programming language and have written some application programs. In July in th e last year,I finished my graduate project with flying colors,which was a soft ware application about Image Process . In addition, I have also finished some projects about embedded system by using MCU when I was a junior.
Although I have broad interests in many aspects and grasp the essential kn owledge of the major, but I think at present, I can do many things in a superf icial level, but not be competent to do things professionally owing to lack of ample knowledge and ability. So I think further study is still urgent for me to realize self-value. The major that I hope pursue for my further education is IC design. Becaus e I find integrated circuits are playing a more and more important role in our modern society. And nowadays in China, with the recognition by the government, our domestic integrated circuits industry is growing rapidly and that may pro vide a lot of chances to us. I plan to concentrate on study and research in this field in my graduate t ime. And I hope I can form a systematic view of micro electronics and IC desig n technology and make a solid foundation for future profession after three yea rs study here.

Good afternoon professors, it’s an honor to be standing here participating in your interview. My name is Li Ming, a graduate student from Chemical University of China who majors in material chemistry. As a student, I cherished the opportunity to learn more knowledge in the university so in the past four years I tried my best to master much expertise as I can and finally my efforts got reward. I got a 4.6 GPA in my university study and passed CET 4 at the grade of 580 and CET 6 at 602. Also, I passed NCRE Computer test Level II in C Language.
I became curious about chemistry since junior high. I was attracted by the mysterious reactions when different chemical compounds get mixed, theamazing structure as well as the application for everyday life so I chose material chemistry as my major. With the advanced facilities in my university,I could study experimental methods and learn advanced chemical technologies systematically and therefore have a complete structure about material chemistry.
My graduate paper is Different ferrite isolated from culturable bacteria from Chilean coastal waters, aiming to synthesize the current studiesto figure out the transformation process of ferrite in mesopelagic zone. I havedetermined five kinds of ferrite that impact greatly on the mesopelagic zone byfar, and I will analyze the potential role they play in midwater area.
As an outgoing person, I also take part in various extracurricular activitiesto broaden my horizon and improve my social skills as well. I worked as the leader of the Student Union for two years, organizing many interesting but meaningful activities such as “A snapshot of sewage disposal plant” to help participants learn more about the disposal procedure of treatment plant and improve the environmental awareness as well. Also, I am good at English and was honored as the excellent debater in the University English debate contest last year.
To make sure I won’t waste too much time pondering what I should do in the future, I have a clear plan for my prospect. First of all, I will develop the habit as a good researcher in my postgraduate studies such as forming a critical thinking system by reading preeminent scientific papers and cultivating rigorous experimental habits. What’s more, modern literature is very close to our daily life and it can deeply reflect the styles and features of our society. I am fascinated by the great masters’ refreshing or warm or profound styles as well.
